Meet our 2010-2011 Scion Champion!
Margaret Duszkiewicz
With our dealership being located in the backyard of Kent State University, we like to utilize the local marketing and advertising majors’ talent by offering the Scion Champion position as a year-long internship. In collaboration with Kent State University’s Business School, we hold a Scion Brand Promotion Competition every spring. Participants must be either a marketing or advertising major and hold junior standing. Participants then write a concept proposal and present their ideas in front of a panel made up both University and Scion representatives. One winner is chosen and is named the Scion Champion for the next year at our dealership. This year’s Scion Brand Promotion Competition winner is Margaret Duszkiewicz!
Margaret has been with us since April 2010 and will hold her Scion Champion title until May 2011 when she graduates with her advanced business degree, Managerial Marketing. Margaret loves her job as the Scion Champion and is very passionate and dedicated to the Scion brand and the Don Joseph Toyota-Scion dealership. She is responsible for planning and implementing Scion grassroots events and advertising activities, managing an array of social media networks, and public relations.
Margaret has organized and executed many successful Scion enthusiasts’ and new owners’ events and has many more planned for the rest of her term. Examples of events that Margaret has put on include Scion Owners’ Photo Shoots, KSU Starbucks Giveaway, Campus Pointe Pool Party, 157 Lounge Bar Nights, and the Kent Heritage Festival. Many more events are planned including the Second Annual Don Joseph Scion Car Show, Veterans Association Back to School Bash at KSU, 2011 tC Launch Event, Miss Scion 2010 Competition, and Cleveland Browns Tail Gating with WMMS 100.7 Alan Cox Show.
